Auditions

Please read the following information regarding the audition process. You will then need to register by e-mailing your full name, dance name, dance style (Cabaret or Tribal), mailing address and telephone number to Angie at assistant@milescopeland.net.

If you have paid for a Raqs America 2009 workshop or an open stage slot, auditions are FREE. If not, the audition fee is $10.

During the weekend's workshops and open stage performances, the Bellydance Superstars will be on the lookout for exciting new talent. Auditions will take place on Sunday, June 21st in the afternoon from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, in the Big Room.

Cabaret auditioners will be asked to learn a group choreography that one of the Bellydance Superstars will teach. Tribal dancers will learn another choreography taught by a Tribal instructor. If a dancer is selected, they will be asked to do a 3-minute solo to a song of their choice (please bring your music in CD format). If you have a special ability, please be prepared to demonstrate it. Costumes help as they give a better impression. Also, please bring a recent resume and photo of yourself.
